Introduction
The
bottom of aluminum stair nosing is made of high-grade magnesium aluminum alloy and the surface is made of specially formulated PVC. Mainly used on stairs to protect the surface of the stairs, to prevent slipping and falling up and down the stairs. It has the effects of wear resistance, anti-slip and quiet. They are used in conjunction with floorcoverings from all major manufacturers, and are suitable for all commercial applications like large shopping malls, hospitals, schools, cinemas, office buildings, etc.

Installation
1. It should be ensured that all surfaces to which the profile is to be fixed are sound, dry, flat and free from any contaminants and in an ambient temperature not less than 18°C.
2. The riser material should be installed prior to the profile and should be cut to finish flush or slightly short of the tread.
3. Cut the profile to the size required.
4. Place the profile in position and mark the position of the screw holes onto the substrate.
5. Pilot drill (for timber) or drill the substrate to a depth of 30 - 35mm and insert suitable fixing plugs into the holes.
6. Apply adhesive to the underside of the profile.
7. Using No. 8 steel countersunk screws, fix through the profile into the plugs and tighten.
8. Clean out the profile channel and install the insert. Ensure that the insert is cut 5mm (min) oversize for each meter of channel. Starting at one side fit the insert, then move to the opposing side and begin to fit. Chase and lose any excess back into the middle of the profile.
9. Fit chosen covering to the tread.
