Introduction

Wall guards are modular in construction and are suitable for use in busy working environments such as hospital circulation areas, wards and corridors to protect against damage caused by wheeled and pedestrian traffic. D125 wall guard comprises an aluminum retainer, internal PVC-u bumper, PVC-u cover and PVC-u end caps. It has been designed to provide a tight fit to the wall to minimize the collection of dirt and dust.

Installation

1. Using an alignment laser, position the pre-drilled aluminum clips against the wall at the desired height, aligning the v-notch on the center-line of the clips with the laser level.

2. Where an end cap is to be fitted, use a 6.0mm drill bit to drill 2 holes in the fixing clip using the high and low v-notches of the clip at 10mm from each end.

3. Loosely fit all the clips using the top hole of each clip.

4. Take a measure of the distance between the outside edges of 2 end clips, minus up to 5mm, as a measure of the bumper section.

5. Before fitting the end caps, measure the distance between the outside edges of the 2 end fixing clips and add 5mm in total as the cut length for the PVC-u cover.

6. Fit the end-caps onto the end retainer clips and secure them using the supplied screws, 2 per end cap.

7. Cut the PVC-u cover as per point 5, taking care to ensure that the cuts are both square and clean.
